About the service

What does RefundFlight do?

RefundFlight helps airline passengers obtain legal compensation when they suffer from delayed, cancelled or overbooked flights. Learn more about what we do here.

We only charge 25 % (including VAT) in fees when we succeed. If you are not entitled to compensation, we will not charge you. No win, no fee!

When and why

How far back in time can I request compensation?

We take care of up to 3-year-old delays. We recommend you submitting your claim as soon as possible since the longer you wait the harder it gets to assess your claim.

Why is a power of attorney required?

It is needed so we have the authority to handle the specific claim for you. We have the right to handle the case you submit and nothing else. It gives us the authority that in your name, handle all the contact with the airlines and authorities in order to get your compensation.

The airline has denied my claim, can you help me?

Yes, it is often that airlines spontaneously deny cases with reference to incorrect interpretations of the law. RefundFlight reviews every matter carefully and provide you with the best possible coverage.


How much compensation can I get?

How much you are entitled to depends on multiple variables. RefundFlight has compiled the information you need to easily understand your eventual compensation here. In some cases you may be entitled to further compensation, which RefundFlight will investigate after you submit your claim.

How long does it take until I get my compensation?

All compensation claims are different, which means that the time for each case varies. Generally, the process takes 2-3 months, but can be shorter or longer depending on the reason for the delay and the airlines response time. We’ll keep you informed during the different stages.

I have expenses the airline ought to cover

What do I need to do?

The only thing you have to do is to fill out the form, sign the power of attorney, and provide us with your booking reference. After that, RefundFlight will take care of your claim and transfer the money directly to your bank account when we get your compensation. Remember: If you are not entitled to compensation, we will not charge you.

How do I send you the poa?

What do you do after I submit my claim?

We process your claim as fast as we can and will get back to you weather you are entitled to compensation or not. RefundFlight handles all the communication with the airlines and authorities and will keep you informed during the process. When we have won the case, we transfer the money directly to your bank account.

Can I process the claim on my own?

You can claim compensation on your own however it can be complicated to interpret the EU regulations. If you wish to claim on your own, please contact your airline directly.


My luggage has disappeared
